Christmas is fast approaching and we are now taking orders for all your Christmas and New Year requirements. We stock a wide variety of free-range poultry, homemade stuffingâ€™s from sage and onion, chestnut, free range pork and apple to prune and cognac. We have a variety of sausage meats that we can prepare for you and make our own pigs in blankets, we also stock peeled ready to use chestnuts from France.
We sell good quality goose fat from Judy Goodmanâ€™s farm as well as a huge variety of condiments, pickles, homemade stocks and gravy for the festive season.
28 Day Matured Scottish Beef
Our beef is specially selected by Rodney, from the Scotch Premier Christmas Show at the end of November. He selects prize winning beef for the shop so that it can be hung and matured for a minimum of 28 days to give top quality beef for the most important meal of the year along with our rare breed cattle and special cuts, all nicely marbled for great flavour.
Free-Range Bronze Turkey
Bramble Farm free-range bronze turkeys reared using the traditional free-range method to achieve excellent flavour and texture. They are allowed to grow slowly and naturally to reach full maturity. An excellent product starting from 4-10 kilos in weight. We can bone and roll your turkey for ease of carving or you can have a turkey crown or boneless breast if you prefer. We will enclose a leaflet with preparation tips and cooking times for your turkey.
Free-Range Goodman Geese
Award winning free-range geese produced by Judy Goodman in Worcestershire. They are reared on her farm and fed a natural diet containing no additives or growth promoters. A superb bird ranging from 4-7 kilos in weight.
Our free-range Ducks are produced by Creedy Carver. They are slightly larger than a normal size duck and will feed four to five people.
We are introducing the Packington Cockerel slow reared for an exceptional taste, always moist with a traditional flavour ranging from 3-7 kilos in weight.
Free-Range Poulet De Bresse
We will have a stock of this special French free-range chicken along with our usual Fosse Meadow and Packington free-range birds.
Free-Range Three-Bird Roast
You can choose from any of our free range poultry or game boned, rolled and stuffed if required â€“ just ask a member or our team who will be able to advise you.
All our pork is outdoor reared and free-range. We have a selection of rare breeds including Gloucester Old Spot and Tamworth. You can request any cut, any size with or without the bone.
At Christmas we have all sorts of special cured gammons produced from British farms from double or triple smoked gammons to a mild cure single smoked gammon. We have a wide variety of green un-smoked gammons and collars to suit your requirements.
We sell a range of cooked hams on or off the bone for easy carving. Traditional breaded, honey glazed or smoked ham cut to any size.
Wakefield Award Winning Pork Pies
We will have our usual selection of pork, pork and black pudding and pork with caramelised onion. We can take orders for various sizes and shapes but all special orders will need to be placed by 15th December.
All our lamb is specially selected from top quality farms on the Berkshire Downs including Salt Marsh lamb from Scotland. Again you can request any cut, any size with or without the bone.
We deliver locally free of charge and are happy to receive orders by email and arrange, if necessary to send by overnight courier to addresses further afield. All major credit cards are welcome.
